ERA4Health Training “Management of multinational clinical studies”.
Short Description: This training course is designed to familiarise investigators, personnel from clinical trial units and sites (principal Investigators, sub-investigators, study coordinators and project managers) with the challenges of initiating and managing multinational studies. This course is solution-oriented to address the most common barriers in the European landscape. Among the obstacles are the variety of national implementations of the European Regulation that govern European clinical research as well as ethical considerations. The course covers early identification of roles and responsibilities of all stakeholders as a key aspect to ensure good management of the clinical studies and effective harmonisation among participating countries. In addition, funding sources and key elements of budget preparation when conducting multinational clinical trials will be covered. This training includes practical advice for operationalising RRI (Responsible Research and Innovation) and patient engagement in clinical studies
