The Era4Health Partnership is pleased to invite you to the 3rd Synergies Workshop, an interactive session focused on how to leverage Structural Funds to co-fund research calls and enhance the impact of collaborative R&I initiatives.
This edition will feature the presentation and analysis of two key studies commissioned by the European Commission:
- Allan Padar (ETAG, RIMA Network) will present how the RIMA Network, a subgroup of the ERA Forum, supports collaboration between regions, researchers, and policymakers to exploit synergies between Horizon Europe and Cohesion Policy funds.
- Lucas Segal (Predictby), co-author of the study Exploring Synergies between Horizon Europe and the EU Cohesion Policy (prepared by DG ECTI for the ITRE Commission), will share the main findings, including policy drivers, barriers, and practical recommendations.
In addition, the workshop will showcase two real-world case studies that demonstrate successful co-funding strategies:
- The MARBLE Project (presented by Sonja Prišcan and Nikola Miškovic: A practical example of complementary funding in action.
- The Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership – Portugal’s Experience (presented by Adriano Lima and Sophie Patricio): Insights into the use of Structural Funds in regional innovation.
Other highlights include:
- Aldo Covello (ERA4Health - Ministero dell’Università e della Ricerca): Opening and closing remarks, plus practical tips on leveraging complementary funding.
- María González Álvarez (ERA4Health - FICYT ): Presentation of the Synergies Portfolio and the work of the Synergies Working Group within Era4Health.
